Industry Update Week of February 26th


Following a review, Jägermeister has hired Firstborn as its digital agency of record.

Untitled Worldwide has been appointed new agency of record for Tommy Bahama.

Kimberly-Clark has launched a global creative agency review, looking to restructure the roster of shops responsible for marketing its portfolio of brands including Kleenex and Huggies. The CPG conglomerate has long worked with several WPP agencies, including Ogilvy and JWT. Kimberly-Clark spent approximately $210 million on U.S. measured media in 2016.

After ending a 12-year relationship with BBDO and abandoning the agency of record model late last year, Lowe’s has announced its new creative agency roster. Conill Los Angeles, The VIA Agency of Maine and South Carolina’s EP+Co will work on a combination project and fixed microretainer model with no designated lead. Lowe’s spent nearly $400 million on paid media in 2016.

Ben James has been promoted from managing director of creative innovation and executive creative director to chief creative officer of JWT New York.

Brent Choi, who had been acting chief creative officer of both JWT New York and Toronto, has been named president of JWT Canada and chief creative officer of global brands.

Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal & Partners (KBS) has hired Amber Wimmer as director of interactive production. Wimmer joins from Google Creative Labs.


Arts & Sciences has added Alex Prager to its roster for U.S. representation.

BRF has signed director Norman Bates.

Cadence Films has added Rubberband (Jason Sondock and Simon Davis) to its roster.

M ss ng p eces has added VR director Jessica Brillhart to its roster.

Strike Anywhere has signed director Matt Sklar.

Derby has signed director Ryan Balas.

Director Bing Liu has joined the roster at Nonfiction Unlimited for commercials and branded content.

The Cavalry Productions has signed director Laurence Dunmore for representation in the U.S.

Director Fantavious Fritz has joined the roster at Furlined for representation in the U.S. and U.K.

Shane Griffin has joined Los York as a partner and global creative director of Los York Studio.


MPC has appointed Ed Koenig EP of NY Color and Matthew Loranger has been promoted to EP of VFX.

Method Studios has promoted Stuart Robinson to EVP and managing director, North American advertising production.


MullenLowe U.S. has appointed Kelly Fredrickson to president of its flagship Boston office. Fredrickson was most recently senior vice president and channel marketing executive at Bank of America.

The Martin Agency has promoted Carmina Drummond to chief culture officer, a newly created role at the agency.
