Industry Update Week(s) of July 16th & 23rd


Following a review, 72andSunny New York has been awarded lead creative duties on the Trojan condom brand.

Google has retained creative agency Droga5 and expanded its remit after a review. Droga5 successfully defended the Pixel phone portion of the account and was awarded a new contract to promote G Suite, Google’s collection of cloud computing tools.

Following a review, German pharmaceutical giant Bayer has consolidated its companion animal global account with Proximity and BBDO. The account will be led by an integrated team from the two agencies based out of Dusseldorf, Germany, with additional support from BBDO Network agencies in the U.S. including Energy BBDO.

Fiverr has moved creative duties from DCX to Mekanism.

After a review, Activision has retained 72andSunny as its agency partner. The agency has served as Activision’s creative AOR since 2012. Activision parent company Activision Blizzard spent $87 million on measured media last year.

Fallon has parted ways with Papa John’s Pizza after a month on the business.

Saatchi & Saatchi New York has hired Taras Wayner as its new chief creative officer. Wayner succeeds Javier Campopiano who departed earlier this year to become CCO at FCB Mexico. Wayner was most recently co-CCO of R/GA’s U.S. offices.

Daniela Vojta and Susan Young have joined BBDO New York as executive creative directors, overseeing AT&T’s Business Solutions and Corporate advertising. They were most recently executive creative directors at McCann New York.

Digitas has promoted global chief content officer Scott Donaton to global chief creative officer, replacing Ronald Ng, who is leaving the agency.

McCann New York has promoted Daniel Rodriguez to executive creative director, and Lauren McCrindle and Erin Wendel to group creative directors.

Mark Krajan has joined DDB San Francisco as group creative director.

Rodrigo Jatene has been hired in the newly created role of CCO, Grey West, overseeing the L.A. and San Francisco offices. Jatene was most recently co-president and chief creative officer of Grey Brazil.

EP+Co has hired Mason Hedgecoth and Jesse Potack as creative directors.

Adam Reeves has returned to Goodby Silverstein & Partners as director of innovation. Most recently, Reeves served as executive creative director at R/GA SF.

Mark Moll has joined MARC USA as senior vice president/executive creative director.

Jenny Lee has joined Rokkan as executive producer.

Tasha Dean has joined The Martin Agency as its new head of integrated content.


Thomas Garber has joined Caviar for U.S. and U.K. representation.

Superprime has signed director Giancarlo Sánchez to its roster.
