Industry Update Week(s) of July 30th & August 6th


Following a review, Samsung has named Leo Burnett lead agency partner for its global visual display business. Samsung spends $750 million annually on measured media worldwide for its TV business. The incumbent, adam&eveDDB, participated in the review and will retain the U.S. QLED creative account.

Brinks Home Security has named Barton F. Graf its lead creative agency.

Following a review, Honey Bunches of Oats has named San Francisco-based Argonaut as creative and social agency of record.

Minnesota-based Periscope was named agency of record for Pemco Insurance, as well as creative AOR for Intuit QuickBooks’ accounting segment. TBWA\Chiat\Day remains Intuit QuickBooks’ brand agency of record.

Following a review, Honeywell, the consumer and commercial goods conglomerate, has consolidated its global creative account with a dedicated IPG unit called C2W.

Colle McVoy has been named agency of record for Children’s Health, a pediatric health-care system in North Texas.

Blink Fitness has appointed AnalogFolk its first experience agency of record.

Following a review, The National Organization on Disability (NOD) has appointed Allen & Gerritsen its new agency partner.

Following a review, Greyhound has awarded digital agency of record duties to Chicago-based Rightpoint.

David&Goliath has been named new agency of record for Chicken of the Sea.

Pizza chain Papa John’s has appointed Endeavor Global Marketing its new agency of record. This marks the first time the Endeavor division has been named creative AOR on a major brand. Papa John’s spent over $136 million on measured media in the U.S. last year.

Agency Creative/ Producers

Publicis Groupe’s Publicis Communications hub has restructured the production departments at three of its New York-based agencies. Jenny Read, who joined Saatchi & Saatchi New York in 2017 as director of integrated production, will oversee the teams at Saatchi New York, as well as Publicis New York and PG One, the holding company’s dedicated P&G unit.

Alex Bogusky, one of the original founders of Crispin Porter + Bogusky, has rejoined the agency as co-founder, chief creative engineer. Current global chief creative officer Linus Karlsson is leaving the agency.

We Are Unlimited has hired Christina Sanchez as group creative director; Jimmy Dietzen and Josh Mizrachi as creative directors; and Kat Dudkiewicz as associate creative director.

Joel Kaplan has been promoted to executive creative director of MUH-TAY-ZIK | HOF-FER’s San Francisco office.
