Columbia Sportswear has appointed Crispin Porter Bogusky as creative lead agency for its Sorel brand.

Douglas Elliman Real Estate has appointed Grey New York as advertising agency of record.

UPS has appointed The Martin Agency its new agency of record in the U.S.

Asics has appointed barrettSF to lead creative and brand strategy.

Carl’s Jr. has placed its creative advertising business in review. Arnold remains agency of record for sister brand Hardee. Carl’s Jr. spent just under $78 million in measured media in the U.S. in 2017.

Target has parted ways with Deutsch and will now funnel work through Mother, Partners & Spade, Chandelier and in-house Target Creative.

Goodby Silverstein & Partners has hired former Johannes Leonardo creative directors Matt Edwards and Wes Phelan to oversee work on BMW.

Joan Creative has hired Mica Gallino and Bryce Hooton as associate creative directors, and Fernando Pasos as creative director.

Streetwear designer Benny Gold has joined the design department at Goodby Silverstein & Partners.

Cleveland-based agency Marcus Thomas has appointed Jamie Venorsky its first chief creative officer.

Portland-based Swift has hired Marni Beardsley as chief production officer.


The Directors Bureau has added director Emmanuel Adjei to its roster for U.S. representation.

Tool of North America has added directors Rudi Schwab and Sasha Levinson to its roster.

Backyard Productions has signed director Patrick Creadon.

Director Jason Farrand has joined the roster at Bunker.

Kaboom has added British director James Lovick to its roster for his U.S. representation.

Rylee Jean Ebsen has joined the roster at Big Block.

Bodega has hired executive producer Mark Kovacs to oversee production in its New York office. Kovacs was most recently executive producer at Humble.

Lauren Greenfield has launched Girl Culture Films with a roster that includes directors Catherine Hardwicke, Karyn Kusama, Amy Berg, Nonny de la Pena, Maya Forbes, Marina Zenovich, Rachel Grady and Heidi Ewing, Yance Ford and Lana Wilson.


Spot Welders has added editors Benjamin Entrup and Matt Osborne to its roster.

Arcade Edit has promoted Laura Sanford to editor.

Nice Shoes has hired editor Marcos Castiel.

Significant Others L.A. has hired senior VFX artist Betty Cameron.

Colonie has promoted Graham Chapman to editor.

Artjail has opened an outpost in Toronto. Andres Kirejew joins as partner/head of 2D; Gene Dreitser as partner/head of 3D; Greg Benedetto as executive producer and Clinton Homuth as colorist.

PS260 has hired Megan Dahlman as executive producer in its Los Angeles office.


Deutsch has promoted IV Tench to EVP/director of digital production for the agency’s Los Angeles office.
