Following a six-month review, Intel has appointed VMLY&R its global creative agency of record. Intel shuttered its in-house agency, Agency Inside, last year.

Popeyes has named Gut Miami its new creative agency of record, replacing incumbent GSD&M on the account.

Ticketmaster has appointed AKQA as new brand creative partner.

VMLY&R has appointed Noel Cottrell as chief creative officer in its Kansas City shop. Cottrell will lead the office’s creative department, and report to co-chief creative officer of North America John Godsey. Cottrell joins from Fitzco in Atlanta, where he served as CCO for nearly a decade.

Wunderman Thompson has hired Jill Applebaum as chief creative officer for its New York office. Applebaum joins from Facebook Creative Group.

Heidi Baltzer has been named head of production, Northern Europe at Virtue Worldwide.
